Sometimes you know exactly what you want your presentation to accomplish. Â You know your target audience well, and you are ready to start putting your presentation together. Â But other times, some of the answers to those basic questions are not so clear to you. Â When this happens, ChatGPT, or most any generative AI programs (Gemini Pro, Claude, Microsoft CoPilot) can help. Â Here is one approach.

In this lesson, we’ll outline four essential elements to structure your presentation: an introduction, body, conclusion, and transitions. We’ll share what each element entails and how each can maximize the impact of your presentation.Â

The 4th step in our Prompt Model calls for a framework.  There are hundreds of frameworks in the ChatGPT arsenal but we will break out our top seven recommendations for you here around a business presentation. Â

Visual aids are powerful tools to boost your audience’s interest while reinforcing the main ideas of your presentation. Successful presenters never take their audience’s attention for granted; they take every precaution to make their presentation both engaging and easy to digest.Â

When designed well, visual aids can appeal to an audience’s senses while also helping them to absorb information. Bold colors, stimulating images, and dynamic graphics create visual intrigue, while bullet points, key phrases, and relevant icons complement the main points. Effective visual aids tell an audience—pay attention! And rather than communicate everything, they focus on the points that matter most.
In this lesson, you’ll start by learning the golden rules of visual aid design. We’ll then give you tips for five design competencies: displaying images and graphics, using text, choosing colors, maintaining consistency, and visualizing numbers or statistics.Â

When you look at a graph, chart, or other visual representation of data, what do you see? The average person will see data at face value—as facts or statistics, often expressed through numbers. While accurate, this view is also limited. Data isn’t just information; it’s information that tells a story.Â
In this lesson, you’ll learn strategies to use data to support the narrative you’re telling through your presentation. You’ll get ideas on how to design data so that it’s visually engaging and relevant to your story. And you’ll leave with tips that’ll make your data presentation easier for your audience to digest.

In a previous section, we had ChatGPT generate a presentation structure for us. Â ChatGPT can either turn that structure into an actual presentation you can deliver OR you can create a draft and use ChatGPT to improve upon it. Â
If you have a clear sense of some key points you want to make, and what data you want to use to make those points, the second option might be your best bet. Â You can actually create a PowerPoint and upload the file into ChatGPT and simply tell it to improve your presentation. Â ChatGPT will review your file, and make specific recommendations on anything you may have skipped or presented awkwardly or unclearly. Â

Not everyone is a naturally charismatic speaker or coherent presenter. However, both seasoned and novice speakers alike can improve their presentation considerably by practicing before it’s time to deliver it.Â
In this lesson, we’ll outline five tips to make your presentation rehearsals more efficient and more effective.Â

It’s getting closer and closer to presentation time. Your skin gets clammy, your heart starts racing, and a sinking feeling settles in your stomach. It’s the pre-presentation jitters, and you can’t help but panic—right?
Wrong. The fear of public speaking is not a weakness nor is it an anomaly. It’s one of the most common fears in the workplace, and it’s only natural for you to feel the pressure, too.Â
The bad news is there is no silver bullet to whisk away those menacing feelings of worry and doubt. The good news is there are effective strategies to manage your presentation nerves and deliver an impactful presentation.Â
In this lesson, we’ll share six steps to calm your presentation nerves.Â

Now that you’ve created your presentation and practiced, how does it feel? Is it comprehensive, well-organized, and engaging? Does it have the power to unite, persuade, and drive action?
In this lesson, you’ll learn five elements that impact the effectiveness of a presentation and nine tips for mastering them. You’ll also get a final checklist that’ll help determine whether your presentation is likely to engage your audience.

As a presenter, giving your audience the opportunity to ask questions may sometimes feel like a leap of faith.Â
You have no way to predict what the audience will ask, and no way to prepare your exact answers in advance. It’s all improvisation, and it can be incredibly nerve-wracking.Â
As challenging as it may be to field questions live, it’s also a valuable opportunity for both you and your audience. It’s an invitation to interact. Questions signal audience engagement and genuine interest in your material. They help you identify gaps in the audience’s understanding and give you the chance to clarify your message.  Â
Thus, dealing with questions is both a challenging and vital skill to hone in any presentation. And, like any skill, it can be learned.Â
In this lesson, you’ll learn how to handle presentation questions effectively by listening carefully, following three simple rules, and learning how to field the top five challenging audience questions.
